Miyajima

Miyajima, also known as Itsukushima Island, is a popular tourist destination in Japan and is located in Hiroshima Prefecture. It is renowned for its beautiful scenery, historic sites, and the iconic Itsukushima Shrine, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I would like to talk about the trip as: to embark on a remarkable journey to Miyajima island, one must board the esteemed vessel of "JR West Miyajima Ferry," which serves as the gateway to this captivating destination. The ferry, a reliable mode of transportation, gracefully traverses the waterways, allowing travelers to embark on a memorable voyage. The duration of this enchanting maritime passage spans approximately 30 minutes, encompassing both the outbound and return routes, thereby affording ample time to savor the nautical experience and soak in the picturesque surroundings.

During the voyage, as you traverse the waters aboard the Miyajima Ferry, a delightful spectacle awaits on either side of the ship. When you walk uphill a little bit, you will meet with sight the Jinja Senjokaku Pavilion. As you approach this magnificent structure, a sense of awe washes over you, for the pavilion's grandeur and its alluring wooden construction leave an indelible impression.

It is an architectural marvel crafted entirely from wood. The sheer size and scale of the pavilion command attention, with its imposing presence against the backdrop of the island's natural beauty. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are apparent in every aspect of its design.

What immediately captures your gaze are the impressive wooden beams that support the pavilion. The one thing that I would like to recommend is to try oysters in Hiroshima, as we all know that oysters are a very famous dish which has a special flavor and freshness and every visitor to Hiroshima should try them.
